What we believe
Three principles behind every piece
We are a small studio. That lets us care about details that larger makers often skip.

Solid materials
We work primarily in solid hardwoods — oak, walnut, ash, maple. No veneers over particle board. No shortcuts that hide after a few years.

Quiet form
Our designs avoid trends that expire. Proportions, joinery, and surface are meant to feel calm in a room for decades, not seasons.

Made to order
Most pieces are built after you commission them. This keeps waste low and lets us adjust dimensions or finish to your space.
Designed in Portland, built by hand
Droegenot began in a shared workshop in 2018. The goal was simple: make furniture we would want to live with ourselves — strong, understated, and honest about how it is made.
Today the studio still operates at a deliberate scale. We take on a limited number of commissions each year so every piece receives full attention from design through finishing.
